CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Christophe is Chief Executive Officer of Classic Fine Foods. Appointed in October 2018, Christophe brings close to 30 years’ experience from the food service industry, leading corporate direction and facilitating sales and operational activities. In addition to his CEO role, Christophe is responsible for the company’s business in Hong Kong/Macau and China. His functional portfolio includes Portfolio Management as well as Compliance, Legal Audits for the group. Since joining Classic Fine Foods, Christophe has worked to share the company’s strategy and vision with customers, partners and shareholders.
Previously, Christophe held Management positions in several retail companies. Armed with his international experience and a solid finance background, Christophe brought about many business transformations within METRO. He joined METRO Cash & Carry Romania/Moldova in 2005 as Director of Food Procurement & Merchandising before moving on to the same position at MAKRO Cash & Carry Netherlands two years later. In May 2009 he was appointed Global Food Director at METRO Cash & Carry and in April 2015, Christophe became the inspired Director of Operations at METRO Cash & Carry Turkey.
Christophe graduated with a Master Degree from the Paris School of Business in 1990 and completed an Executive Program at the London Business School in 2009. To-date, he can count eight countries as part of his career experience. Additionally, Christophe currently acts as advisor to French Foreign Trade.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
A chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in the consumer goods and distribution industries, Paul joined Classic Fine Foods in 2011. Today, he is the Chief Financial Officer of the company, responsible for the overall financial functioning of the group, as well as for operating businesses in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.Read the full bio
Paul Young is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ experience gained in the fast-moving consumer goods and distribution industries. Paul joined Classic Fine Foods as Chief Financial Officer in May 2011. In this position, Paul is responsible for the overall financial functioning of the group (including reporting, controlling, tax, treasury management and audits) and for establishing the financial strategy and direction at Classic Fine Foods. Additionally, Paul also has board level responsibility for operating businesses in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Prior to joining Classic Fine Foods, Paul held previous regional CFO roles within SSL International plc (now part of Reckitt Benckiser) following a career in audit practice in the UK. Throughout his career, Paul has worked in many parts of the world, managing diverse cultures and has led and supported a number of M&A projects and business integration and improvement projects. Paul is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
GROUP COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Olivier joined Classic Fine Foods in 2006 as General Manager for the UK and was appointed Group Commercial Director at the beginning of 2019. Olivier has been instrumental in developing the company’s activity by setting up THETASTELAB, building close partnerships with leading chefs in Britain, and Classic Fine Foods’s support of the UK Pastry Team.Read the full bio
A graduate of the ESG School of International Commerce and Marketing in Paris, Olivier chose to join a volunteer scheme for national and civic service and began his professional career with a 16-month period spent in the UK, working for Bridor. Impressed by the young man, Bridor offered Olivier the post of Sales and Operations Director at the end of his civic service and he successfully managed two of their industrial bakeries.
In 2006, Olivier joined Classic Fine Foods as General Manager for the UK and has been instrumental in the setting up of THETASTELAB, in developing partnerships with some of the greatest names in gastronomy working in the UK, and in promoting and supporting the UK Pastry Team.
Olivier is now Commercial Director for the Group with responsibility for the commercial coordination of the entire group, as well as overseeing the commercial activities of Classic Fine Foods UK and Classic Fine Foods Rungis, the platform in France from which fresh produce is dispatched to Classic Fine Foods’s subsidiaries in Asia and the Middle East.
GROUP OPERATIONS AND HR DIRECTOR
Patrick joined Classic Fine Foods in 2019 as Group Operations and HR Director after an international career in luxury Hotel and Wholesale/ Retail sectors in various locations accross the globe and extensive experience in Human Resource within METRO. After graduating from Lausanne Hotel Mgmt. School in 1994, Patrick started his career in Japan as a Food & Beverage teacher and was part of the opening team of a 5 Star Hotel in Kobe operated by the former Hotel Mgmt. Company called Southern Pacific Hotel Corp. – nowadays InterContinental.
This first international hotel experience in the training division/HR helped Patrick settle into this field. From that moment onward he has spent almost half of his career in the 5 Star luxury Hotel sector which has taken him to different locations across the globe (French Polynesia, UAE, Caribbean, France). He then moved to Paris where he worked at Disneyland Resort Paris in three different HR positions for 6 years before getting an offer to join Metro Group in their French branch where he explored a totally new sector: the HORECA sector (Hotel – Restaurant – Catering). From country operational roles within Metro, Patrick moved to corporate assignments where he could contribute shape and implement the HR Strategy of the Cash & Carry sales lines and apply different management approaches and strategic changes. His last role within Metro was Regional HR Director for Metro Cash & Cary France/Spain/Portugal/Italy/Turkey and BU Classic Fine Food acquired by Metro in 2015. With extensive experience in HR, Patrick is a strong expert in the areas of Talent Management (i.e. staffing, skills assessment, leadership development, performance management, coaching…).
In 2019, Patrick joined Classic Fine Foods as Group Operations and HR Director and is also responsible for the company’s business in Vietnam, Dubai, Philippines and Japan.
