  • 2000 - 2001 The beginning

    The Classic Fine Foods Company was registered in 2000 and began its commercial activity in 2001 buying the companies that formed the Olivier group. Operating in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, Olivier was the first company to develop an Asian network of fine food import and distribution companies, answering the needs of foreign restaurants expanding into Asia and the needs of local chefs looking for high quality ingredients from Europe.

  • From 2002: Expansion across Asia

    Since then, Classic Fine Foods has continued its expansion across Asia with the opening of different subsidiaries.

  • From 2004: THE EXPANSION INTO EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST

    Classic Fine Foods’ expansion into Europe and the Middle East showed its vision to develop such a network of subsidiaries across the globe so as to become the only Fine Foods company able to support and supply chefs with the products they need as their careers take them from country to country throughout the world.

  • CFF Metro
    2015: A NEW INVESTOR

    Classic Fine Foods was bought by Metro in 2015, the leading international specialist in wholesale. Metro operates in 35 countries and employs more than 150,000 people worldwide.

  • The Taste Lab Launch
    2016: THE LAUNCH OF THETASTELAB BY CLASSIC FINE FOODS

    Classic Fine Foods opened its first TheTasteLab by Classic Fine Foods in London in 2016, followed by the opening of another in Singapore in 2018. TheTasteLab by Classic Fine Foods is a place for chefs to meet, share their experiences and learn in a relaxed, yet highly professional environment. TheTasteLab offers a programme with a variety of events including training courses, workshops, demonstrations and culinary journeys.

  • CFF New Warehouses
    2018: THE OPENING OF NEW WAREHOUSES

    Classic Fine Foods is growing and the subsidiaries in Vietnam, Hong Kong and Japan moved to new facilities. Strategically located, the new warehouses offer improved capacity to support efficiency, better quality and safety control.

  • CFF Board Members
    2019: NEW BOARD MEMBERS

    Classic Fine Foods announced the election of new Board Members to head up the company. It is composed of Christophe Barret, Chief Executive Officer; Paul Young, Chief Financial Officer; Olivier Batel, Group Commercial Director and Patrick Lesieur, Group Operations
    and HR Director.

    Today: CLASSIC FINE FOODS’ SUCCESS

    Classic Fine Foods has succeeded to be present in 11 countries and today serves more than 12 000 customers around the world. Classic Fine Foods’ success is based on the team’s finely honed spirit of entrepreneurship and the very close relationships it forms with customers and suppliers all over the world.
