Despite having grown up in Africa and the Maghreb and having then studied in Spain, my journey at Classic Fine Foods Singapore and then Classic Fine Foods UAE has nevertheless been really mind-opening for me as I have discovered new nationalities, religions and work habits and so much more. Working with so many different nationalities can be challenging and you realize over the years that we all react in different ways when faced with the same situation and this is mainly due to cultural habits. You learn a lot about yourself. What I like about this diverse working environment is that every day and every conversation is a challenge which makes my everyday life more interesting and exciting! You get to learn so much about other cultures and religions and get travel tips! It also teaches you humility and kindness. I really think that it would be very hard for me to work in France again as I would miss the cultural jokes we make, the different food we get to try, how we tease each other during football games and so much more.”
