Warehouse & Transport

To put it simply, our Warehouse and Transport department must adhere to certain fundamental principles to ensure that we get the right quantity of the right product to the right place, at the right time and at the right temperature.

The teams pick and pack, put stock away, and prepare the orders quickly and efficiently. Their attention to detail is impeccable. They know how to handle the goods safely and carefully and their goal is to make sure the goods arrive in pristine condition, meeting our food safety standards and all our customers’ requirements. On top of that, they always go that extra mile for our customers and a Classic Fine Foods' delivery always comes with a friendly handshake and a smile!

As a Warehouse Assistant, my role is to ensure that all our products are correctly handled from the moment they reach our warehouse until the moment they leave it. I am in charge of verifying all incoming goods, handling them with great care and storing them in the warehouse. I also deal with preparing orders for delivery and picking up the goods. Another part of my job is to ensure that our warehouse is always organized, clean and tidy! As per ISO22000 requirements I make a daily record of the temperatures in our cold rooms. I also check the products' expiry dates regularly so we can manage product shelf life. Lastly, I am also happy to give the logistics team a hand and play the role of delivery assistant when needed. What I love the most about my job is when our weekly shipment of perishables is on its way! It is always interesting to see seasonal items and I have discovered so many products since I have been working at Classic Fine Foods. It is always exciting to see unique products such as venison, wild boar, and also smell the fresh strawberries or the first white truffles!

I currently manage a group of ten people. I am responsible for double-checking all imported and domestic goods entering the warehouse. My daily job is to assign tasks to my team: preparing orders, receiving and delivering goods to each branch, and organising the warehouse. Every day, I also get my team to check all documents related to the ISO process & hygiene. I am responsible for ensuring that goods are kept at the right temperature and in a clean manner according to the specific standards of a cold storage facility. Additionally, I also contribute to supporting the shipping team in delivering orders to our customers in a timely manner.

My greatest joy while working is seeing all our products in the correct order, placed on the shelves and neatly arranged according to each supplier's product code.

My biggest achievement while at Classic Fine Foods is that I have been promoted to new positions twice since I started in October 2013. I was appointed as Team Leader in May 2018, and then promoted to my current Warehouse Supervisor position in December 2021.

I am very happy to be a member of the Classic Fine Foods' family and contribute to the development of the company as it becomes even bigger and stronger.
